Kyoukai no Kanata, also known as Beyond the Boundary, is based on the Japanese light novel. 2011, the show received an honourable mention in the Kyoto Animation Award Competition.
The show was written and illustrated by Nagomi Torii. Kyoto Animation published three volumes of an anime series between October and December 2013, with 12 episodes.
While the video animation episode launched in July 2014, and in April 2015, a two-installment-based anime movie was premiered.
