Blue Bloods Season 9: What happened to Erin's first investigator on Blue Bloods?

No matter how popular a show is, there will always be a few episodes which are not up to par. Episodes that are not well received by critics or viewers alike, such as " Blue Bloods," are rare for a show with overwhelmingly positive ratings. Even when television shows are at their peak, they can still experience problems. This could be due to the introduction of a new director or writer, or the failure of a guest star.

Consider, for instance, Episode 15 from Season 8 of " Blue Bloods,", which received a rating of 6.8 out 10 on IMDb. This indicates that the episode was not popular among viewers. What went wrong exactly? One user said that character development and writing were most important, especially when Frank acted in ways that were inconsistent to his behavior from previous episodes or seasons.

The lowest-rated "Blue Bloods Season 9 episode was directed by the same director who also wrote the most disappointing Season 8 episode. Both episodes, unfortunately, received the same negative response as the previous season. The problem is more likely to be the fact that these episodes try to pack too much information into a short amount of time.

The Worst Episode in Season 9 is Episode 15.

This episode is filled with a lot of action. In this episode, Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), gets into a fight with a local activist. Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), a young man, tries to reconcile with a neighbor (Andrew Terraciano) who does not want his daughter around Danny's child.

Jamie (Will Estes), who is a young man, tries to take more decisions without consulting his dad. Anthony (Steve Schirripa) is also in distress, as he is worried about a potentially deadly patient who has stolen his wife's paperwork. One IMDb user described the episode as: "There's so much happening that it all crashes, loses momentum, and basically putsters out."

Kevin Riley, Mitchell Burgess and Robin Green wrote this episode. It was directed by David Barrett who is an executive producer of the show. Barrett has also directed 57 episodes (via IMDb).

It's easy to blame the writer or director when viewers are unhappy with an episode. However, this same team has also produced some of the highest-rated episodes. It's more likely that viewers were dissatisfied because the episode was overloaded with stories. This caused the episode to feel slow and drawn out. There will always be some episodes in any TV show that fans cannot relate to. Fortunately, "Blue Bloods" has a much higher number of episodes enjoyed by viewers, including those by the same crew.
